Sue Warchall’s Background
I have always been interested in art and art history but spent all of my formal education years in pursuit of a science, math and technology career. I studied oil and watercolor painting off and on for the past 20 years while working and raising a family. After spending 35 years engaged in a very left-brain oriented IT/Analytics career, I decided to retire and exercise my right brain for a change and began to pursue my art studies in earnest.
I have participated in numerous classes and workshops in both watercolor and oil painting techniques over the past 3 years at the Mainstreet Art Center in Lake Zurich, the Studio in Long Grove, and Positive Strokes in Palatine.
I love to travel and many of my works reflect the variety of people and places I’ve encountered both in the US and abroad.
I was raised in Wisconsin but have resided in Illinois since 1970.
